For makers

List your project on Standee.

Type the project name or paste its address. If it is already in the directory, you claim it; if not, a new listing starts and its page is pre-filled from your website, for you to confirm.

Find or start a listing

One field for everything: the name, to find an existing listing, or the address, to start a new one.

If you do not have an account yet, one is created for you. Nothing is published without approval.

Fields

Every field has a place, and every project belongs here.

Independent makers, teams, startups, student teams and small companies can list a project in any field. If your field is not shown, the project is listed as “Other” and you choose after signing in.

Who will find you

People looking for what has been built for their need.

  • Businesses and professionalsThey look for software or a service for a specific task, with price, compatibility and where the data comes from.
  • Municipalities and public bodiesThey find projects that cover the needs of their services.
  • UsersThey find apps, games and tools for personal use.
  • JournalistsThey find projects and makers by field for their reporting.
  • InvestorsThey follow new projects by field and how mature they are.
  • Other makersThey look for existing solutions and possible partners.

Sample searches: written by the development team to try out the search; they do not come from real visitors.

Why list your project

A project that can still be found after the first few days.

A project that wants to be found is usually shown in posts, groups, on GitHub or on launch platforms. There it is lost within days and cannot be found again by anyone searching later. Standee gives every project a permanent page, in a field and searchable.

  • Find by need

Anyone who describes a need, for example “xml feed skroutz woocommerce”, sees the projects that cover it, not only the ones they already know.

  • Shown from the first release

Projects in alpha or beta are published with an “Early release” label and can say they are looking for testers. There is no ranking penalty.

  • A card with specific fields

Every project has a card with the same fields: what it solves, price, what it works with, language and the date it was updated.

  • You manage the details

Price, compatibility and limits are declared by you. The card states where the data comes from and when it was updated.

How a project gets in

Three steps to publication.

  1. Paste the project’s address

The address of the project’s website or page is enough.

  2. Confirm what we found

Standee reads your public page and suggests a description, price and compatibility, with a link to the source next to every field. You keep or correct whatever you like.

  3. Submit the listing for approval

The listing is approved before it is published. Until then, nobody can see it.

If you prefer, you can fill in the fields by hand or, if the project is already in the directory, claim its listing.

How listings are recorded

Each card says where its details come from and when they were updated.

  1. RecordedThe details come from the tool's public page, with the date they were read.
  2. DeclaredThe maker declared the details themselves, with the date of the declaration.
  3. ClaimAre you the maker? Claim the listing by confirming from an email at your website; it then becomes Declared.

We do not test whether a tool works.
