1. Preamble and Acceptance

These Terms govern every use of the Service: browsing the directory, submitting a recommendation request ("Ask for a recommendation"), creating and using an account, saving tools and searches, claiming and listing projects ("List your project") and submitting reports ("Something is not right?"). Standee is a directory of tools and SaaS. It provides information and links to makers' websites; it does not provide professional, legal, tax or technical advice and does not replace your own assessment before any purchase or use of a tool.

4. Provenance Labels and Order of Display

Every listing carries a label stating the provenance of its details:

These labels concern only the provenance of the details. They do not constitute a trial, certification or endorsement of the tool. The label "Updated dd/mm" states the date of the latest change to the listing. The Service displays no user evaluations of the tools.

The order in which listings are displayed is determined by the criteria published on the "How we rank" page. Listings of the Provider and of related or client projects are explicitly marked (e.g. "From the founder").

5. Use by Visitors and Requesters

As a visitor or requester you must:

The recommendations provided to you are purely informational. We do not guarantee any outcome or that a ready solution exists for your need; where none exists, we say so. Links to third-party websites lead outside the Service; we do not influence their content or practices, and their own terms and privacy policy apply.

6. Account

Sign-in is passwordless, with a one-time link sent to your email and valid for fifteen (15) minutes. You are solely responsible for the security of, and access to, your mailbox and for every action taken through your sign-in. You may delete your account at any time from the account itself, in accordance with the Privacy Policy (Section 6).

7. Terms for Makers: Claiming and Listing a Project

7.1 Authorisation and Proof of Control

You declare that you represent the tool or company you list or have their permission, and you prove that you manage the tool's domain through the procedure described on the claim page. We are entitled to request additional information, to reject a claim or to revoke a claim already approved where the proof no longer holds or is reasonably disputed.

7.2 Accuracy of Declared Details

You are solely responsible for the accuracy, completeness and lawfulness of the details you declare (description, prices, available platforms, certifications, company details) and must keep them up to date. Certificates are shown only with number, issuing body and date. The Service does not independently verify declared details and is not liable for their accuracy.

7.3 Content You Upload and Licence

You declare that you have the right to use the content you upload (logos, images, text); customer logos are permitted only with the rights holders' permission. You grant the Provider a non-exclusive, non-sublicensable licence to display this content in the directory for as long as the listing remains active. You grant no rights to third parties through the Service.

7.4 Publication and Withdrawal

Publication of a listing requires the Provider's approval of its content; ideas and prototypes are not published. You may withdraw your listing at any time. The retention provisions of the Privacy Policy apply to the change history.

7.5 Requesters' Details

If you receive a requester's details, after their named and explicit consent, you use them solely to reply to them. Any other use is prohibited, in particular republication, passing on to third parties or sending commercial communications.

8. Content Moderation, Reports and Removal

We are entitled, with notice to you and an opportunity to object where applicable law so provides, to reject, withdraw or suspend the publication of a listing or content that violates these Terms, the law or third-party rights.

You may report unlawful, inaccurate, copied or misleading content through the "Something is not right?" form, stating: the link or listing, the reasons for the report, your name and email, and that the report is submitted in good faith and is complete. Reports are examined and, where required by law, we inform you of the decision and of how to appeal it. The listings' change history is an internal record and does not decide who holds legal rights to a tool or a name.

9. Prohibited Conduct

The following are prohibited in particular:

10. Intellectual Property

The design, text, directory structure and code of the Service are protected by intellectual property law and belong to the Provider, unless stated otherwise. The names, logos and trademarks of tools belong to their respective owners and appear solely to identify the tools. No right is transferred to you beyond personal use of the Service under these Terms.

11. Availability, Changes and Termination

The Service is provided as is and as available; we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We are entitled to modify, restrict, suspend or discontinue, temporarily or permanently, all or part of the Service, with reasonable notice where practicable.

We are entitled to suspend or terminate the access of an account that violates these Terms or the law, informing you of the reasons unless the law prohibits this. You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time.

12. Warranties and Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by mandatory law, the Service is provided "as is", without express or implied warranty of accuracy, completeness, currency or fitness for a particular purpose. The Provider is not liable for the operation, quality, prices, terms or availability of third-party tools, nor for transactions or disputes between you and makers.

No term excludes or limits the Provider's liability for wilful misconduct or gross negligence, for personal injury, or any liability that may not be excluded or limited under applicable law; consumers' statutory rights are also unaffected.

For the rest, and to the extent permitted by law, the Provider is not liable for indirect or consequential damage, loss of profit or loss of data arising from the use of, or inability to use, the Service, or from force majeure, network failures or third-party providers.

13. Amendments to the Terms

These Terms may be amended, e.g. due to changes in features, providers or legislation. Each new version is published on this page with a new version number and effective date. For material changes we give reasonable advance notice on the website and, where we hold your email address, by email, within any period required by applicable law. Continued use after the new version takes effect constitutes acceptance of it, without prejudice to your statutory rights.

14. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by Greek law. The courts of Athens have jurisdiction, without prejudice to mandatory provisions that establish jurisdiction of the courts of your place of residence as a consumer. The official and binding language of the Terms is Greek; any translation is for information only.

15. Contact and Final Provisions

For any matter relating to these Terms, and as the point of contact for authorities and users (Regulation (EU) 2022/2065, Articles 11 and 12), please write to vasilispapg@outlook.com; languages of communication: Greek and English. If any provision of the Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in force. The Provider's failure to exercise a right does not constitute a waiver of it.

How listings are recorded

Each card says where its details come from and when they were updated.

  1. RecordedThe details come from the tool's public page, with the date they were read.
  2. DeclaredThe maker declared the details themselves, with the date of the declaration.
  3. ClaimAre you the maker? Claim the listing by confirming from an email at your website; it then becomes Declared.

We do not test whether a tool works.
